Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Kentucky Residents Directory does not save a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we use the details in your message to respond.
Logs and Similar Tools
The hosting provider may record routine technical data such as an IP address, browser type, pages loaded, and time of access. We review grouped traffic information to maintain the service and understand which materials are used. Cookies or related tools may help with basic analytics or, where enabled, ad measurement.
How Visitor Data Is Used
Technical information helps run the pages, find errors, measure visits, and improve site content. Visitor lists are not sold, and we do not build profiles about individual readers.
Outside Portals and Links
Pages link to Kentucky county and state record offices, libraries, archives, and outside search providers. Each destination has its own privacy terms. Any information entered there is handled under that provider's policy, including searches shown in sponsored results.
Service Providers and Legal Requests
Hosting and other service providers process the technical logs needed to keep the site available. Analytics or advertising vendors may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information if a valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only for the operational purposes described in this policy. Because there are no user accounts, the site does not hold a visitor password or personal profile.
Visitors Younger Than 18
Kentucky Residents Directory is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent personal data, and we will review and remove it from the information we control.
Privacy Requests Under Kentucky Law
Where it applies, the Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act, KRS 367.3611-367.3629, gives consumers rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain certain personal data held by covered private controllers. The law excludes publicly available information and public records. Since Kentucky Residents Directory keeps little visitor data, a request can be made through the Contact Us page; we will check the mailbox and logs under our control. Records kept by a Kentucky agency, county, city, or court must be addressed to that original custodian.

When these privacy terms change, the new version will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
